Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity can result in an immediate charitable tax deduction and potential savings in capital gains and estate tax. You collect a tax advantaged fixed income from your gift for your lifetime from Great Oak at competitive rates based on your age. A relatively small investment can make a large impact on our organization.

Include Great Oak in your Will
A simple way to help Great Oak by committing a portion of your estate to ensure GO’s future.
Life Insurance
You can arrange this type of gift by designating that Great Oak receives all or a portion of the death benefit associated with your life insurance policy or by transferring ownership of the policy. Transferring ownership results in an immediate income tax charitable deduction and potential income tax savings in the year of the gift.
Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70 1/2 or older and own an IRA, a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a simple and tax-efficient way to make a gift to Great Oak. Funds transfer directly to the GO and count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), in effect deflecting a taxable event through a charitable gift.
Grant funds to Great Oak from your Donor Advised Fund
A donor-advised fund is like a charitable investment account, for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations such as Great Oak. When you contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor-advised fund in a Donor Advised Fund, you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. Then those funds can be invested for tax-free growth and you can recommend grants to Great Oak.
